Veterans’ Memorial Park – Update

On Memorial Day, May 26th, we held the official groundbreaking for the Town’s Veterans’ Memorial Park with the help and blessing from the Stuyvesant Falls VFW Post #9593..

Following the annual laying of the wreath at the base of the flag, everyone moved over to the site of soon-to-come Veterans’ Memorial Park where VFW Chaplain James Yager said a prayer, Supervisor Knott gave a speech with the background of the project, and Town Clerk Melissa Naegeli did the honorary groundbreaking.

We would like to thank the community members who came to support this event and who have donated or purchased a brick in honor of a Veteran.

To be included in this Park, a Veteran has to have lived in Stuyvesant OR have a direct family member that resides in Town. The Veteran does not have to be deceased or currently reside in Stuyvesant. If you’re have questions or are interested in purchasing a brick, contact Town Clerk Melissa Naegeli for the order form or download it from our website at this link: Vets’ Park Brick Order Form

This will be an ongoing project so stay tuned for updates on the progress. Subscribe to our website to get Town news directly to your email.
