What’s Happening Around Town?

It seems to be busy around Stuyvesant this month!  Here are some things going on –

Wednesday, Feb. 11th – Free Narcan Class at Town Hall at 6:30pm
Thursday, Feb. 12th – Town Board Meeting – Public Hearing at 7pm on proposed updates to the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Law (a copy can be found under Town Board Documents)
Thursday, Feb. 12th – St. John’s Lutheran Church (Route 26A) Free Community Meal – Turkey Dinner!  5:00 – 6:30pm
Saturday, Feb. 14thHappy Valentines’ Day!  Repair Café at the Town Hall 10am – 2pm – benefits the Railroad Station.
Sunday, Feb. 15th – Stuyvesant Falls VFW 3rd Annual “Chili Bowl” Cook Off.  Registration begins at 12:00.  $5 entry fee
Monday, Feb. 16thPresidents’ Day.  Offices will be closed.  Town Clerk Melissa Naegeli will travel to NYC to attend the award ceremony for the Association of Town’s to accept an award as a Town of Excellence.
Tuesday, Feb. 17th – Last day for ordering a block to be guaranteed included in the Memorial Day unveiling and celebration for the Veterans’ Memorial Park.  You will be able to still order after this date and they may be able to be included but this is the last date for the “guaranteed inclusion”.
Friday, Feb. 20th – Stuyvesant Fire Co. Monthly Pizza Night – 4:30-7pm call 518-758-6713 to order.
Saturday, Mar. 7th – Spring Wreath Making Class at 4pm at the Town Hall. $65 and may be paid the day-of.  Please RSVP by March 2nd to Melissa Naegeli either by email TownClerk@stuyvesantny.us or phone 518-758-6248 Ext. 110. 

ONGOING:  Stuyvesant Senior Community Center at the Town Hall.  Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30am – 1:30pm.  Catch up with old friends or make some new ones.  Enjoy lunch, hear from guest speakers, participate in fun activities, and discover local programs and services available for older adults in Columbia County.  Please call 518-751-0267 at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a lunch.  There is no charge for meals but donations are appreciated.
