We have received a load rating study and recommendations from Ryan Biggs on the Stuyvesant Falls bridge. Below are links to that study as well as comments received.
At their meeting on Wednesday, March 18th, the County Public Works Committee made a recommendation to go ahead with Ryan Biggs’ Option #3 which would get our bridge reopened at the 12 ton rating that we had last year. There will also be “Portal Frames” constructed at each end of the bridge to limit the overweight use and hopefully extend the service life of the proposed repairs. We are working on a proposal to get this work done with hopes that it can happen this summer and get reopened before winter.
