The Memorials have been ordered and a respectable amount of money was raised at our first fundraiser held on March 22nd at the Stuyvesant Falls VFW. The stone order forms were unveiled at the dinner and are now available to everyone. There are hard copies at the Town Clerk’s Office or you can print the form here:
Veterans’ Memorial Park – Stone Order Form
The stones are $100 each and includes the engraving. The stones are 6″ x 9″ and can have up to 15 characters per line (spaces count); 3 lines per stone. There is an example on the back of the order form as well as an example of the font/print that will be used.
Stones may be ordered for anyone who was/is from Stuyvesant, currently lives in Stuyvesant, or has a direct family tie to Stuyvesant. For instance, you live in Stuyvesant but your parents or grandparents never did — you can order a stone for him/her who served.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Memorial Day, May 26th at 8:30am with a small reception immediately following.
