Spring Trash Day
A Free event for Stuyvesant residents (you must own a residence, not just vacant land).
Trash Day Resident Punch Cards become on April 4th. Tickets will be available from the Town Clerk and Highway Superintendent. Please be prepared to show proof of residency (something with your physical address — i.e., driver’s license, utility bill, or tax bill). Tickets will be available during business hours up to and including trash day (May 2nd). The Town Clerk’s Office will be open 8am – 12 Noon on Trash Day.
Tickets will be good for 2 trips. The cards will show what is and isn’t allowed —
A Trip is defined as a loaded pick-up truck or vehicle OR a trailer. If you have a loaded truck AND trailer that will punch both trips on your ticket.
TRAILERS ARE LIMITED TO SINGLE AXLE, MAXIMUM OF 12′ in length
NOT ALLOWED:
Household garbage (like the weekly stuff you throw away)
Hazardous Materials (there will be a County Haz Mat Day)
LIMTIED AMOUNT:
4 Tires per ticket (not per trip)
ALLOWED:
Electronics are allowed
Bulk Trash (please put small items in a box or a type of container)
Event is held at the Salt Shed site on Sharptown Road. Pull down the driveway, the person punching your ticket will direct you where to drive. The Highway Department employees will help unload your vehicle.
