Often items folks bring for repair seem to have a sentimental attachment; Grandma’s old lamp, Grandpa’s favorite chair, a sweater knit by Mom that now has a hole in the elbow. Fix it for Christmas! Repair that treasure instead of buying something new (and less well made).
