Columbia County has donated one tree per municipality for Earth Day to celebrate the Country’s 250th Anniversary. A 2nd tree was generously donated by our Town Attorney, Tal Rappleyea, Esq., and 4 additional trees have been purchased by the Town.
The trees will be planted around the Veterans’ Memorial Park at the Town Hall. A planting event has been planned and will be hosted by the Town’s Climate Smart Task Force on Sunday, April 26th at 2pm. The Task Force is seeking volunteers to come help plant the 6 trees. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves, shovels, and any other equipment they feel they will need.
