**URGENT** Flash Flood Warning

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for our area until 1:30pm (keep an eye on all alerts because they keep extending the time). There is potential for life threatening flash flooding to occur.

Do not drive through flooded roadways, turn around. Do not go around barricades — they are there for a reason. The water may not look that bad from the drivers’ seat but the potential is there for a dangerous situation. There is flooding at the intersection of County Route 26A (the deep ditch along the front of the Town Hall is overflowing) and Church Street. The usual areas of concern should be avoided — State Route 9J and County Route 46 — along with any other local, low-lying roads.

Our Fire Companies are on stand-by. They, along with our Emergency Management Coordinator, Bill Vick, are monitoring the situation. They have all asked that people stay home and off the roads.
